Is Tremendous really free?
Yes for gift cards, prepaid cards and charity donations: no subscription, no platform fee, face value only. Cash payouts (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, bank, international wallets) cost 4–6% with a $0.25 minimum, and credit-card funding costs 3%.
How does Tremendous make money?
Through partnerships with reward brands such as Amazon and Visa; the brands pay for the distribution. High-volume senders may even receive revenue share.
Which countries are supported?
More than 200 countries and regions, with rewards in about 100 currencies and emails in 65 languages. The catalog varies by country.
Can recipients choose their reward?
Yes. Each link opens a page where the recipient chooses from the options the sender allowed: gift cards, prepaid cards, cash or a donation.
Do recipients need an account?
No. They open the link, choose, and receive the reward.
What happens to unclaimed rewards?
Automatic reminders go out. After the expiry window the value returns to the sender’s balance.
Is there an API?
Yes, a REST API with a sandbox, plus webhooks. Zapier and native integrations with research tools such as Qualtrics are also available.
Is it secure and compliant?
SOC 2 Type II, WCAG 2.0 AA recipient pages, automated fraud screening, W-9 collection and 1099 support for US recipients.
What is the minimum spend?
None on the standard plan. Enterprise terms (account manager, volume pricing) begin around $200K per year.
Can I send physical gift cards?
No, rewards are virtual: e-gift cards, virtual prepaid cards, digital cash and donations.
