Cost by scenario
Fee: none. You pay face value. A $25 Amazon card costs $25; a $25 Visa prepaid costs $25. Tremendous is paid by the brands.
| Program | Rewards | You pay |
|---|---|---|
| Survey incentives | 500 × $10 gift card | $5,000 |
| Employee milestones | 120 × $100 prepaid | $12,000 |
| Rebate campaign | 2,000 × $20 gift card | $40,000 |
Fee: 4–6% per transaction, minimum $0.25, on PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, bank transfer and international wallets. You can pass the fee to the recipient, in which case they receive the amount less the fee.
| Program | Payouts | Fee at 6% | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|

| Settlement disbursement | 3,000 × $50 bank | $9,000 | $159,000 |
| Creator payouts | 200 × $250 PayPal | $3,000 | $53,000 |
Exact rate depends on method and destination; enterprise accounts may negotiate.
Bank funding (US, EU, UK): free. Allow one to two business days. Credit card: 3%, instant. Unused balance stays in the account; unclaimed rewards return to it after expiry.
Enterprise: at roughly $200K+ per year you get a dedicated account manager, onboarding, potential volume discounts and revenue-share arrangements on high-volume gift-card programs. The platform remains free.
Taxes: rewards to US recipients above the annual reporting threshold require a W-9; Tremendous collects it and supports 1099 reporting. Sales tax does not apply to gift-card value.
Cards versus cash: the decision
If recipients are happy with a gift card or a prepaid Visa, the platform is free. The prepaid card is the bridge: it spends like cash almost everywhere, so most programs can offer “Visa prepaid or any gift card” and avoid the fee entirely. Offer bank transfer only where it is required, and consider passing the fee to the recipient for optional cash.
Is anything hidden?
Not that we found. Prices are on a public page, the fee on cash is stated as a range with a floor, and card-funding cost is listed. Points to check in your own terms: reward expiry (unclaimed value returns to you), foreign-exchange spread on international cards, and whether your enterprise contract fixes the cash rate.
